Metal alloy conductors supplied by Scott Precision Wire do not contain any reportable substances listed in Annex A under the guidelines, however, Nickel is present in a number of materials.
Whilst Nickel is only reportable when prolonged exposure to skin is expected, which would not normally be the case for resistance and thermocouple wires, the table below is provided for information.
|Material||Nominal Nickel Proportion by weight|
|Al1050||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|AlMg05||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|Copper||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|Cromaloy 4||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|Cromaloy C||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|Cromaloy O||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|CuZn 64/36||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|CuZn 70/30||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|CuZn 80/20||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|CuZn 90/10||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|CuZn 95/05||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|Iron||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|Kutherm 10||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
|Kutherm 3||Below Threshold/Reporting level1|
Note: Many metals may contain trace amounts of Nickel as an impurity however these are below the threshold/reporting level of ‘Intentionally Added’.
